WHO WE ARE?
PRESTON TAKAYAMA
Preston Takayama (17) is currently a junior at the Lakeside School in Seattle, Washington. He discovered his love for music at the age of 5 when he began listening to Disney Soundtracks on the CD player. This year, Preston is a violinist for the Youth Symphony Orchestra which is part of the Seattle Youth Symphony Orchestras (SYSO). He also participates in the Lakeside School Symphony Orchestra and the WMEA All-State Orchestra. Preston also enjoys playing baseball for the Sweets Baseball Club.
Although the benefits of music education are countless, middle and high schools around Washington State often lack the necessary resources to provide their students with musical opportunities. Our mission is to procure instruments for underfunded schools to advance their music programs and allow all students to experience the joys of music.
